I heard a lot about vegan banana ice cream so of course I wanted to give it a try. I cannot deny it is an incredibly easy, super tasty vegan dessert. Technically it’s super healthy, as it’s all natural ingredients, so it’s a great guilt free treat! I love, love, love this combo of bananas, pecan nuts and the deep flavor of maple syrup but I’ll admit it’s also quite yum with chocolate shavings. And yes, you can still keep it vegan since there are great vegan fair trade chocolates like Tony’s Chocolonely
The only downside about this ice-cream is that it melts super quick so be ready to dig in immediately! You can refreeze but I’d still advice to blend it again after so you won’t have any nasty ice crystals messing up its creaminess.
2 ripened bananas
20 gr roasted pecan nuts
1 tbsp maple syrup
Peel and cut bananas, then put in a container and place in the freezer.
Blend bananas with a stick blender and plate up.
Sprinkle the pecan nuts and drizzle some maple syrup on top.
Now dig in!
